At the intersection of Gat Lebuh Macallum (or Goh Tiao Lor in Penang Hokkien) and Lebuhraya Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu, there is a gray building occupying quite a big space, with the word MACALLUM on its roof. This building houses the Macallum Connoisseurs Coffee Company, a cafe serving coffee (of course), food, and cakes/desserts. There are parking spaces outside the building, but the parking area is narrow and can be full of cars during peak hours.
Macallum Connoisseurs has a nice menu of western coffee (as opposed to our Malaysian kopi), western food (burgers, spaghetti, roasted chicken, etc.), and cakes. I like the chicken burger here, which has a slight Malaysian taste to it. The crepe cakes and coffee here are nice too. Also, plain water is provided for free.
The dining area at Macallum Connoisseurs is spacious, with long benches and tables with chairs/stools. The layout is suitable both for those coming in big groups and those coming alone. I would also say that it is children friendly, as my kids have ample space to run around while we enjoy our food.
