The new food court at the Jalan Permai, Gelugor Market (Pasar Dan Kompleks Makanan Jalan Permai, Gelugor) is now open. There are Malay, Chinese and Indian food stalls in the market. The Chinese food stalls are mostly opened during daytime, while the Malay food stalls are open at noon and evening. It is great to have Malay, Chinese and Indian stalls operating in the same area – I think this is something unique about markets/pasar in Penang.
There are stalls selling economy rice, porridge, wanton mee, curry fish head, hokkien mee, Indian food, nasi lemak, mee goreng, and tomyam dishes.
With the new food court at Pasar Dan Kompleks Makanan Jalan Permai, Gelugor now operational, this will bring convenience to people living in Taman Brown, Raffel Residence, Raffel Tower, Centrio Avenue LMC, and Ashley Green. The market/pasar section of the Pasar Dan Kompleks Makan Jalan Permai, Gelugor is not open yet. I look forward to the day when the market is fully operational.
