This year, Straits Quay celebrates Christmas with a huge Christmas tree decoration at the centre of Straits Court. Standing tall at 30 feet, the giant Christmas tree is beautifully decorated with boat helms, life buoys, starfish and glittering lights.
The theme of Straits Quay’s Christmas celebration this year is “A Nautical Christmas”, so the decorations consist of lots of ornaments related to the beach and the sea. Beside the tall Christmas tree, there are smaller decorations such as life buoy, boat, boxes of presents and smaller Christmas trees. Straits Court is turned into a picturesque area with lots of photo-shooting opportunities.
Along the corridor going towards Straits Residences, a group of people can be seen enjoying a Zumba dance session. It was a Friday evening.
Going into the mall, there are a number of stalls selling Christmassy stuff. It is a wonderful place to shop for Christmas presents, souvenirs and art/pictures.
It is great to see Christmas celebrations in full swing this year, as the pandemic situation continues to improve.
