Sanrio Gift Gate at Gurney Plaza is a shop selling genuine Hello Kitty gift merchandise in Penang. The store also sells gift merchandise of other Sanrio cartoon characters (Hello Kitty is the most famous one though). Sanrio Gift Gate is located on the 3rd floor of Gurney Plaza (Lot 03-47).
My daughter found the Sanrio Gift Gate shop by accident while we were Christmas shopping at Gurney Plaza recently. Hello Kitty is one of her favourite cartoon characters, so she was very excited. The store sells many Hello Kitty-based products, including dolls, bags, mugs, water tumbler, cap, umbrella, and other gift items. We ended up buying a Hello Kitty umbrella for our daughter.
