The Children’s Day celebration was held at the Union Primary School (Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Union) on 8 November 2019. The activities were held at the school’s main hall, which was decorated into a party-like atmosphere. Students were seated on the floor, watching the activities and performance. Parents and teachers were seated by the side of the hall.
As is customary in a school event, the celebration started with a number of speeches. The students understandably looked bored during this time. After the speeches, donations were given out to needy students.
The audience were then entertained with performances by students. This was probably the most enjoyable part of the Children’s Day celebration. The performances include a classical orchestra, musical play, Chinese opera, choir, wushu and others. The Union Primary School students are pretty talented when it comes to extra-curricular activities.
After the performances, the students were given snacks. It was an enjoyable Children’s Day celebration for the students, teachers and parents.
