Restoran Deen is one of the more popular nasi kandar restaurants in Penang. It is located along Jalan Jelutong (Address: 598-D, Jalan Jelutong, 11600 Georgetown, Penang. Tel: 04-6575285). Do not confuse this restaurant with Restoran Deens Maju in Jalan Gurdwara (another famous nasi kandar restaurant in Penang).
There is usually a long queue at Restoran Deen during the peak lunch and dinner times. Recently, I went there earlier, around 11.20AM, and there was no queue. I ordered a plate of nasi kandar with a big squid (sotong), rendang beef and okra (lady’s finger). The taste of the nasi kandar was excellent. There were not many customers at that time, so it was very comfortable dining at the restaurant. The price of nasi kandar at Restoran Deen was reasonable.
