The Deepavali celebration is just around the corner, on 18 October 2017. Straits Quay Mall (at Seri Tanjung Pinang) ushers in Deepavali by having Kolam decorations around the mall. Kolam is a form of art/drawing created by using coloured rice, rice flour, chalk and coloured powder.
Walking into the Straits Quay Mall from the front entrance, you will be welcomed by a Kolam depicting an elephant.
There are other Kolam along the ground floor corridor where the stores are located. Although they are small, the Kolam look nice and give the mall a Deepavali feel.
