Candyland is a candy and snacks shop located in New World Park, Georgetown, Penang (Address: 106, Jalan Burma, 10450 Georgetown, Penang. Tel: 04-2265699). Going into New World Park from Jalan Burma, you can easily see Candyland on the right hand side. The shop opens every day from 9AM to 7PM.
The shop has very nice decorations, and provides an excellent photo shoot location for children. There is a wide space in front of the Candyland shop, with cute figurines of animals (giraffe, polar bear, rabbit) and candies. Children can have a good time playing in front of the shop.
The candies and snacks sold at Candyland are nicely packaged. They are definitely very presentable as gifts for friends and families. The price of the candies/snacks here are higher though – but they made up for it via the nice packaging. There are Arabic words on the product displays, so I guess Arab tourists are important customers for Candyland.
Candyland provides another reason for people to visit New World Park, especially for those with children (in addition to the food court and F&B outlets). Families can have nice Penang hawker food at the food court, before going over to Candyland. The children will love it.
