Eastern Wishes is a popular restaurant serving Thai and Chinese Malaysian food. The restaurant is located at Elit Avenue (Address: 1-1-32, Elit Avenue, Jalan Mayang Pasir 3, 11950 Bayan Baru, Penang. Tel: 04-6094092). Before its Elit Avenue branch became its main location, Eastern Wishes’ old location was at I-Avenue, Bukit Jambul (where I first came across the restaurant, and have dined there for many years).
The Thai/Chinese food served at Eastern Wishes is pretty good. My personal favourite here are the Hakka spiced pork (a must-try, in my opinion), seafood tomyam, Thai-style steamed fish and green curry chicken. There are lots of other wonderful dishes as well. The food here are affordably priced.
The dining area of the restaurant is quite big with the tables nicely spaced. It is very comfortable to dine here. Overall, Eastern Wishes Nanyang & Thai Cuisine is an excellent restaurant to have a meal in.
