Setia SPICE Aquatic Centre is one of the few public swimming pools in Penang. The centre houses an Olympic-size indoor swimming pool with salt water treatment, a diving pool and a splash pool for children. Setia SPICE Aquatic Centre is open daily from 8AM to 11PM.
The Olympic-size swimming pool is suitable for both serious and casual swimmers. Many school/state swimming teams train here, especially during weekdays. A portion of the swimming pool is reserved for swimming classes conducted by WAHOO Swim School. There are many types of swimming courses offered by WAHOO Swim School, and people who enroll in the courses are given special admission price.
The diving pool is right beside the Olympic-size swimming pool. There are 3 tiers of diving platforms available. The diving pool is also used for the PADI scuba diving course.
At the far end of the Setia SPICE Aquatic Centre is the splash pool for children. The splash pool is equipped with playground-like equipment like slides, seesaw and water splashing features. There is normally a lifeguard scrutinizing the splash pool, but it is advisable for parents to look out for their kids as well.
Apart from the pools, Setia SPICE Aquatic Centre also has other facilities, including badminton & squash courts, gym and dance studios.
