MK Smart Auto Service Centre is a car service centre in the heart of Georgetown, Penang. The workshop is located on a side road (Jalan Singapura) off Jalan Dato Keramat, so it is not easily visible unless you turn into the road.
I am writing this blog post because I had a very good experience with the mechanics at MK Smart Auto Service Centre recently. I was on Jalan Samak (near MK Smart Auto Service Centre) when my car broke down. My car’s auto gear was jammed and I was not able to shift into the appropriate gear in order to move the car. After trying to move the gear for awhile, it ended up stuck in Reverse gear. I switched off the engine, and were not able to start the car again, as the gear was still stuck at “R”.
I ended up walking over to MK Smart Auto Service Centre to ask for help. The boss and a mechanic drove over to my car’s location and was able to start the car after manually manipulating the gear. The mechanic drove my car back to the workshop for repair. He was able to pinpoint the problem, and replaced the gear lever. It took him about 15 minutes.
Overall, the service provided was excellent. The mechanics are experienced and knowledgeable, based on their effectiveness in diagnosing and resolving the problem. The charges were reasonable too, not taking advantage of my situation. I would say they are honest and reliable. So, I would definitely recommend MK Smart Auto Service Centre if you need to service/repair your car in the Georgetown area.
