Ocean Green Restaurant is a popular seafood restaurant in Georgetown, Penang. It is located off Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah / Northam Road (Address: Ocean Green Restaurant, c/o Paramount Hotel, 48F, Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, 10050 Georgetown, Penang. Tel: 04-2274530 / 04-2262681), sharing the same compound with Paramount Hotel (a very old hotel).
The restaurant is located just beside the beach, which is very nice as guests can stroll on the beach while waiting for their food. The feeling of dining at a seafood restaurant by the beach is unbeatable (the other seafood restaurant by the beach that I like is Hai Boey Seafood Restaurant in Teluk Kumbar, Penang).
Ocean Green Restaurant also has fresh seafood that are kept in aquariums.
Some recommended dishes at Ocean Green Restaurant include baked crab, steamed grouper fish, steamed tiger prawn, fried clams, and definitely the fried spring chicken. I have been to the restaurant a few times, and always enjoy the meals there.
Ocean Green Restaurant is usually packed. Do call ahead to make a reservation if you plan to dine there.
