Centrio Avenue is a Low-Medium-Cost (LMC) Apartment located in Bukit Gambier (Gelugor, Penang). It was developed by the Boon Siew Group (BSG) in collaboration with the Penang State Government. It is nice to see a LMC apartment being built near the town area in the Penang Island, instead of in the outskirts, or Penang Mainland. Centrio Avenue is also located near some high-end developments in the area, including the Raffel Tower and Raffel Residence (high-end terrace houses). The apartment has 2 blocks (Tower A & Tower B), both 31 storeys tall, and has 780 units in total.
I went past the area the other day, and was delighted that Centrio Avenue is now starting to get occupied. There are many businesses on the Ground floor, ranging from eateries, 7-Eleven, clinic (Klinik Permai) to barber shop. Will Western Delight, which was formerly a very popular local western food place in a coffee shop next to Gembira Parade Complex, has also moved here.
The area around the apartment is clean (of course, it is still a new apartment). One thing I don’t like is that most shop unit owners at Centrio Avenue do not allow cars to park at the parking lots in front of their shop units. Customers have to park illegally along the road side. However, this is just a minor inconvenience, as long as you don’t get a summon.
There is also a market and food court building beside Centrio Avenue (Pasar Dan Kompleks Makanan, Jalan Permai, Gelugor). It is now open, but is only occupied by food stalls/eateries and a convenience store.
All in all, it is nice to see Centrio Avenue getting alive, and more conveniences like shops and eateries becoming available for people living in the area.

Want to know the price..
Looking at some property websites, it looks like there are people trying to sell units at Centrio Avenue from RM348,000 – 450,000. Probably need to talk to the housing agents to understand better.
